Happy

Today was the third day in school and you know what? For the first time in years, I feel happy. I have been lucky enough to get the best teachers in every class! Okay, so I don't know about biology-class but I'll find that one out tomorrow.

Social studies: The guy is a natural teacher. He makes people think for themselves with almost every sentence he speaks. He has the ability to speak about complex subject so that even the dumbest student understands. And, as I stated in a previous post, he cracks me and every one else up all the time. More teachers like him and Sweden would be the best educated country in the world!

Swedish: A wonderful elderly lady, very softspoken and with a brilliant mind. I think she's read every book in the whole Swedish Royal library and then some. What she's doing there, teaching adults about their mother tongue, is quite a mystery. Any book you mention, she's read it and analyzed it. When I grow up, I wanna be just like her.

Mathematics: Also an elderly lady but far from softspoken. She's the kind of woman with that aura that can scare the toughest bully to immediate submission. I'm a little frightened for her and that's good. She'll kick my ass if I don't do my homework. It's quite amazing that this tiny lady, hardly five feet tall and probably less than 99 lbs, can scare the shit out of the whole class. Not that she's aggressive or anything like that but... Well, it's hard to explain.
I think it's her eyes and smile. They change in an instant from warm and cute to cold and sinister. It's worst if her eyes change while she's smiling. You can almost hear the main theme from "Jaws".
I love her. If she can't get me to grasp the art of mathematics, no one can.

Web Design: An man with lot's of humor and a way of making even the most inexperienced computer novice feel comfortable. Even those little old ladies who's only experience in computers are ATM's and and Stanley Kubrick's "2001 - A Space Odessey".

Damn, I'm lucky.

oh I'm so glad to hear how happy you are! Actually I'm considering going back to school myself, your post is definitely a nice incentive to do so.

Thank you, Catherine! Yes, personality and the ability of teaching are two major components to get students to learn. :)

And thank you to you too, VirginiaGal! I think that the decision to go back to school was one of my better ideas. It might not mount to anything in the end but I'm sure as hell feeling much better now. :)

I'm really glad you are so happy, PoP. Big hug for you!

Learning is a very empowering thing and having instructors/teachers who you enjoy makes it an even more fulfilling experience, too!

Enjoy, you clever bug, you!

Ah, there you are, Francesca! I've been worried since you haven't blogged in a while.
